Maddie

Maddie is a 3.5 year old, 58 lb Retriever/Shepherd mix who is looking for her forever family. She's a survivor who overcame emergency surgery to save herself and some of her pups. Now that her puppies have found their own homes, Maddie is ready to find a home of her own! Her foster mom describes her as sweet and affectionate, and she enjoys a little pampering, like gentle belly rubs, having her blonde coat brushed, and ear rubs. Maddie is a couch potato who would be fine with an adopter who is away during the day. She adjusts to change easily and is low-maintenance, making her a great companion.

Ideal Home

Maddie would love a home where she can relax and nap the day away. While she has met older children and done well, she has not lived with kids. She needs to be the only dog in the home, as she does not want to share her forever home with other dogs. A cooler climate would be ideal for her.

Ongoing Health

Maddie has undergone emergency surgery and is now healthy. Her adoption donation includes all core vaccinations (DHPP, rabies), spay/neuter, and a microchip.

Training & Support

Maddie arrived practically house-trained and loves going for walks.

Maddie is currently located in South Texas and can be transported to her new home in Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Maryland, and other states on the East and West Coast.
