Nick

Nick is a handsome 1.5-year-old Beagle mix who weighs an estimated 30 lbs full grown. He's a gentle and sensitive soul who was unfortunately left behind at a training facility and ended up in a rural shelter before finding his way to safety. Nick is a curious boy who is learning to trust and explore the world around him. He's a brave little guy who is making great progress in his foster home, especially with the guidance of his canine siblings. He's learning that humans can be kind and is even offering "touch" during training sessions! Nick enjoys treats and people who understand that he needs to move at his own pace. He can be a bit shy at first, especially around loud noises or sudden movements, but with a little patience and encouragement, he blossoms.

Ideal Home

Nick would thrive in a calm, quiet household. He would love to have a confident, resident dog friend to show him the ropes and help him continue to navigate the world. We do not know if Nick has been around cats or children before, but he would likely prefer a home without them as he adjusts.

Ongoing Health

Nick is up-to-date on his vaccinations and preventatives. He is microchipped with a lifetime registration.

Training & Support

Nick is currently working on housetraining and is comfortable in his crate. He is also learning the "touch" cue. He would benefit from a patient adopter who can continue to build his confidence and celebrate his successes.
