Maverick

Meet Maverick, an affectionate, playful, curious, athletic male husky mix puppy who was around 10 weeks old and weighed 8 pounds as of August 1. He recently arrived at the rescue, so his foster family is still learning more about him.

Ideal Home

Maverick will need a dog-savvy home prepared to provide daily exercise, structure, and close supervision. Husky-type dogs can be strong, energetic, easily bored, destructive, and skilled escape artists. A secure fence of at least 5 feet, along with perimeter fencing and collars, is required by the rescue. The rescue recommends that children in the home be at least 6 years old and prefers adopters with previous husky or high-energy dog experience.

Ongoing Health

Maverick is microchipped and will be adopted with current, age-appropriate vaccines. Puppies are dewormed and started on heartworm and flea prevention.

Training & Support

Maverick is a young puppy whose foster family is still getting to know him. Husky-type dogs benefit from consistent structure, exercise, and secure containment.
