About Pop
Hello, I'm Pop! I'm a happy-go-lucky pup with super soft fur and adorable white markings on my nose. I love to snuggle and have a special fondness for sleeping near the warmth of an oven. I'm also a huge fan of the snow! My fur is thicker and fuller than most pitties, suggesting a mix with breeds like Border Collie. I came to Wags with my brother and sister from New Mexico when I was very young.
I'm proud to say I'm potty trained! I'll let you know when I need to go out by lying down by the door. I'm also kennel trained, but I must admit, I'm not a fan of being confined. I can escape if I'm not careful and tend to bark when inside, though I promise not to destroy anything if left alone. At night, I love to sleep as close to my foster mom as possible! I know how to sit, stay, wait, and come. I'm currently working on "down" and "off." Food is my obsession, especially peanut butter and yogurt! While I don't get table scraps, I get plenty of tasty treats and will do almost anything for them. I'm still learning to be gentle when taking treats, but with practice and a "gentle" cue, I'm improving daily.
I live with a fabulous 10-year-old foster sister and have met all her friends. I can be a bit shy with new people, especially children, and may bark initially until I feel comfortable, but I mean no harm. A family with older, dog-savvy children would be ideal as I'm still learning my manners. Once I warm up, I'm all about the kisses! I'm not sure about cats, but I absolutely love other dogs! I'm my slightly younger foster brother's emotional support dog and need to be near him. I enjoy playing with my big foster sister (almost 2 years old, 55 lbs) in games like tug, keep away, and chase. I also play gently with my big foster brother (almost 4 years old, 96 lbs), who is recovering from surgery. My favorite doggy activities include wrestling, zoomies, and tug-o-war. I also love going for walks in the neighborhood. I'm smart, love to learn, want to be friends with everyone (though I take my time warming up), and I love to snuggle and be loved. I'm eager for adventures and would make a great hiking and travel companion. Ultimately, I just want to be with my people, have a dog friend, and live the best life!
My dream day includes a morning walk, a good breakfast, lots of playtime, naps, a lunch snack, more playtime, an afternoon nap, dinner, more playtime, snuggles, and a final potty break before bed. I'm like Puff the Magic Dragon because my foster mom even made up a song for me! My favorite toys include stuffies, hard plastic chew toys, and anything for a good game of tug. I love to play as much as possible, with long naps in between. What makes my tail wag the hardest is when my people come home and let me out of my kennel – it's party time!
Ideal Home
My dream family includes older, dog-savvy children and another dog. An active lifestyle is a must, and I need to sleep in bed with my humans.

Training & Support
I am potty trained and kennel trained, but I don't like being confined and may bark in the kennel. I'm working on being gentle when taking treats and need continued support with my initial shyness around new people, especially children.
