Bea is a 2 1/2-year-old, 40-45 lb female Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler mix who is as sweet as can be! Bea's journey to us was a bit of a nail-biter. She was scheduled to be pulled from a shelter and fostered, but at the last minute, the foster backed out, leaving Bea in a precarious situation. Thankfully, one of our amazing fosters, Jerrie, stepped up and gave Bea the second chance she deserved. Now that Bea is settled and safe, we've learned she's a loving, playful, and affectionate girl who adores other pups, especially smaller dogs. She can be a little nervous around dogs her size or larger, so slow introductions are recommended. Bea is also fantastic with children, having spent time with her foster mom's grandchildren, ages 3 and 7. While Heelers can sometimes have a tendency to nip at heels due to their herding instincts, Bea is incredibly loving with kids. With gradual introductions to get used to them, we're confident she'll be a wonderful addition to a family. Bea is housebroken and crate trained, making her a well-behaved companion.
Ideal Home
Bea would thrive in a home that can provide her with positive reinforcement and gradual introductions to new dogs, especially those her size or larger. While she adores children, we recommend gradual introductions for her to get fully accustomed to them.
Ongoing Health
Bea is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.
Training & Support
Bea is housebroken and crate trained. As a herding breed, she may have a tendency to nip at heels, so gradual introductions and training will help her adjust.
