Apollo is a 7-month-old, 60-pound Bulldog/Mastiff mix with a heart full of love to give. He's a sweet, goofy, and affectionate boy who is looking for his forever family. Apollo's past was a bit ruff; he was found on the streets with two broken front legs, but thanks to corrective surgery, he's made an amazing recovery and you'd never know he was injured. He's up-to-date on vaccines and scheduled to be neutered soon. Apollo is a true "velcro dog" who adores his humans and loves to snuggle. He's also a playful pup with medium-high energy who enjoys a good game of fetch, but he's just as happy to relax on the couch after some exercise. He's potty-trained, crate-trained, knows basic commands, and is very food-motivated, making him eager to learn. He thrives on routine and picks up new things quickly, though he can be a bit stubborn.
Ideal Home
Apollo would thrive in a home with dog friends who enjoy rough-and-tumble play and older children or teens, as his size and enthusiastic play style might be too much for younger kids. A home without cats is also preferred. While a fenced yard would be a bonus, it's not required as long as his new family is committed to continuing his leash training and working on reliable recall.
Ongoing Health
Apollo has made an amazing recovery from two broken front legs and shows no lingering effects from his past injuries.
Training & Support
Apollo is potty-trained, crate-trained, and knows his basic commands. He is very food-motivated and eager to learn, but can be stubborn, so consistency will be key to his success. Please do not leave blankets in his crate, as he tends to chew them.
