Meet Genie!

Genie is a 9-year-old, 60 lb Heeler mix with a whole lot of personality and intelligence to share. She's a pro at commands like sit, stay, lay down, shake, and roll over, making her a fantastic companion for someone who loves an interactive and clever dog. Genie enjoys long walks, outdoor adventures, playing with squeaky toys and sticks, and is a big fan of cozy snuggles. She's a total cuddle bug who always wants to be near her person, and she definitely has a soft spot for treats and a good cheese run. Genie is already potty trained and crate trained, and she walks beautifully on a leash. She's looking for a patient and confident adopter who appreciates independent dogs and will allow her to settle in at her own pace. When Genie bonds with you, she forms a deep connection and is incredibly loyal, becoming a devoted best friend.

Ideal Home

Genie would thrive in an adult-only home and would do best as the only dog. She may be able to coexist with a calm cat. She is not a fit for homes with children or small animals.

Genie is very smart and has impressive training already. She is potty trained and crate trained. She can be sensitive and likes her boundaries respected, so a patient and confident adopter who understands independent dogs will help her succeed.
