Grace is a beautiful, sturdy, and incredibly smart 3-year-old girl with perky ears that are just perfect for a good scratch! She has plenty of energy but settles in for naps throughout the day, especially during work hours. Grace was an excellent mom to her 10 puppies when she first arrived in rescue, and now it's her turn to find her forever home! She already knows "sit" and "lie down," is completely potty-trained, and is crate-trained. She actually loves her crate, often napping in it voluntarily because it makes her feel safe, and she happily sleeps there every night. She's currently working on "roll over," "shake," "down," and becoming more zen about squirrels on walks. Grace is very strong, so please be aware that she'll need your full attention on walks, especially at first – no AirPods for those initial strolls! She's currently living with her foster parents, with no other children, adults, or pets. One of her fosters works from home and Grace enjoys her company during the day. She does notice when her other foster, who travels for work, is away. Grace is a dog who truly bonds with her people; once you're in, you're in with her! She can be sensitive to changes in her environment. She was raised in challenging circumstances, which has resulted in some signs of trauma that she is actively working through with the help of her fosters and Save-A-Bull. She can have a difficult time when initially meeting men, but she has shown that she can overcome this after an initial introduction. The perfect family for Grace will be able to see her incredible worth; meeting her is to love her! She will make a wonderful addition to any household, as she is loyal, gentle, playful, and smart.
