Scruffy

My name is Precious, though the paperwork might say Scruffy! I'm a tiny, one-year-old mixed breed girl weighing in at a whopping 4 pounds, 8 ounces. My foster family calls me Precious because, after a recent haircut, it's clear that's a much better fit for my dainty size! I'm the perfect portable companion, and what you see is what you get – no surprise growth spurts here!

My favorite things include being with my people, sitting in laps (lots of lap-sitting!), following my humans around, and being admired for my cuteness. While I get along fine with other dogs, I'd prefer all your attention to be focused on me! My foster mom says we're "working on sharing," but I'm not quite sure what that means.

Ideal Home

I need a family that understands my tiny size means I can never be left outside alone, even in a fenced yard, due to risks from birds of prey. I'm looking for a home where someone is around most of the time, as I love companionship and would be happiest with a person who wants a tiny sidekick for everyday life. Respectful kids are welcome, as long as they understand I'm more delicate than I look.

Ongoing Health

I do shed, but I'm wonderful for grooming. My adoption fee includes my future spay, current vaccinations, microchip, being up-to-date on preventatives, and one month of pet insurance.

Training & Support

I am kennel trained, doing wonderfully with potty training, and I walk beautifully on a leash. I don't feel the need to announce every little thing that happens outside; I save my opinions for important matters!
