Mavis is a gentle and friendly girl, born around February 2024. She spent the early part of her life with a loving elderly woman in a remote Texas farmhouse. When her owner was evicted, Mavis found herself needing a fresh start, but she has maintained her sweet and caring nature. Mavis enjoys attention and being close to her people. She can be a little reserved with unfamiliar dogs, which means she might do wonderfully as an only dog, or she could adapt to living with another dog if introductions are made slowly and with guidance from an experienced individual. Mavis is learning to walk on a leash and use a crate, and she's doing great with both! She just needs a calm environment and some patience to help her feel secure as she adjusts to her new life. Mavis is the type of dog whose loyalty and affection grow stronger over time, blossoming into a devoted companion. She's a beautiful dog with a tender heart, deserving of a safe and loving forever home. If you believe that the most meaningful friendships develop gradually and last a lifetime, Mavis could be your perfect match.
