About Pop
Hello, I'm Pop! I have super soft fur and cute white markings on my nose. I'm a happy-go-lucky pup who absolutely loves to snuggle and can't get enough of the snow! My fur is thicker and fuller than most pitties, which makes me extra cozy. I came from New Mexico with my siblings when I was very young, and while I don't remember much from back then, I've certainly blossomed since! I'm already potty trained and let you know when I need to go out by laying by the door. I'm also kennel trained, though I must admit, I'm not a fan of being confined and will bark when inside. However, I promise not to destroy anything if you need to leave me out while you're gone – I just prefer not to be crated. At night, I love to sleep right by my foster mom's side; it keeps me warm and happy! I know "sit," "stay," "wait," and "come," and I'm working on "down" and "off." I am very food-motivated, especially by peanut butter and yogurt – I'll do anything for a treat! I'm still learning to be gentle when taking them, but with consistent practice, I'm getting better every day. I live with a wonderful 10-year-old foster sister and have met her friends. I can be a little shy and barky when I first meet new people, especially kids, but I mean no harm. With a little time, I warm up and become a kissing machine! Because I'm still learning my manners, a family with older, dog-savvy children would be ideal for me. I'm unsure about cats, but I absolutely adore other dogs! I'm my slightly younger foster brother's emotional support dog and need to be near him. I love playing with my almost two-year-old, 55 lb foster sister – we enjoy tug-of-war, keep away, and chasing each other. I also enjoy wrestling, zoomies, and tug-of-war with my almost four-year-old, 96 lb foster brother, though I need to be mindful of his recent surgery. Walks in the neighborhood are another favorite activity. I'm smart, love to learn, and want to be friends with everyone, though I do take my time warming up. My dream day includes morning walks, breakfast, lots of playtime, naps, snacks, dinner, and of course, snuggles. I'm a bit like Puff the Magic Dragon because I bring so much joy! My favorite toys include stuffies, hard plastic chew toys, and anything for tug-of-war. I love to play all day with plenty of naps in between. Seeing my people and getting out of my kennel truly makes my tail wag!
Ideal Home
A family with older, dog-savvy children and another dog would be perfect. I also need to sleep in bed with my people! An active lifestyle with opportunities for adventure and exploration would make me a very happy dog.

Training & Support
I am potty and kennel trained, but I don't like being kenneled. I am still working on being gentle when taking treats and learning "down" and "off." I can be initially shy and barky with new people, especially children, but I warm up quickly.
