Dixie

Meet Dixie, a loving 3-year-old Lab/Husky mix with a goofy smile and plenty of affection to share. This gentle giant enjoys walks, car rides, fetch, couch time, and relaxing with her favorite person. She’s social and adaptable, but prefers a peaceful, low-key lifestyle over constant hustle and bustle.

Ideal Home

Dixie would love a person or couple seeking a loyal companion. Older children or a home without children are preferred. She does well with dogs and can live with another dog, though she would also be happy as your only dog. She is not a match for cats because her enthusiastic attempts to chase and hug them are not appreciated.

Ongoing Health

Dixie is spayed and up to date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

Dixie is fully house-trained and knows basic commands, including “sit” and “crate.” She enjoys doggy daycare and does well with people and dogs at the rescue.
