Jasper has never met a stranger.<br/><br/>When Animal Protection Officers found him wandering a busy bus stop in Central El Paso, he wasn't hiding or running away. Instead, he was happily greeting people, hoping someone would stop and say hello. Despite having no microchip and no one coming forward to claim him, Jasper has held onto that same friendly spirit ever since.<br/><br/>This handsome boy is affectionate, social, and loves spending time with people. He has also made dog friends at the shelter, including a playful buddy named Lubbock, and the two quickly hit it off, spending their time running and playing together.<br/><br/>But shelter life is starting to wear on Jasper.<br/><br/>The constant noise and unfamiliar environment have left him feeling stressed and anxious, and recently he's been spending more time resting and less time enjoying the things he loves. While he's receiving care and monitoring from our team, what Jasper truly needs is a quiet place where he can finally relax, decompress, and feel safe again.<br/><br/>The shelter has seen the best parts of Jasper: the wagging tail, the gentle nature, the excitement he has when he gets attention from people.
