Cal

Cal is a young, adult male Mastiff/Coonhound mix with a heart full of love to share! He had a tough beginning as a stray but found a temporary foster home where his improperly healed rear leg fracture was discovered. After extensive evaluation, Cal's leg was amputated to ensure a pain-free and active life. Now, he's a happy-go-lucky guy who loves to run and play on his three legs, excelling in agility and navigating tunnels with pure joy! Cal is a bit shy with new people but once he warms up, he's an incredibly adoring companion. He greets his favorite people with leaps of joy and thrives on affection. He enjoys car rides and staying close to his loved ones – your couch might just become his favorite spot too! Cal has lived with other dogs before and has shown no issues, so a canine friend could be a great addition to his new home.

Ideal Home

Cal would thrive in a home where he can receive slow introductions to new people. He loves being close to his humans and would likely be very happy to share your couch!

Ongoing Health

Cal has had his rear leg amputated, and he is now living a comfortable and active life.

Training & Support

Cal is easy to walk and enjoys car rides. He is a happy and affectionate dog who will bring so much joy to his new family.
