Matilda is a sweet and goofy girl who is ready to find her forever home! She was found on Smelter Road in Amarillo, Texas, and despite her tough past—she bravely battled over 1000 porcupine needles in her face, mouth, throat, and eyes—she has fully healed and is ready for a new beginning. She is food-motivated and loves her chew bones, walks, and, of course, belly rubs. Matilda has a playful spirit and a heart full of love. If you're looking for a companion who will bring joy and laughter into your life, Matilda is the perfect match!

Matilda would thrive in a home where she can get plenty of exercise and attention.

Ongoing Health

Matilda has fully healed from her encounter with porcupine needles and has no ongoing health concerns. She is spayed and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Matilda is not yet house-trained and will need continued guidance in this area.
