Delilah - in Maine

Delilah is an absolutely beautiful girl, approximately 10 months old, who is doing well in her foster home in Maine. Four of her siblings have already found their forever homes, and she and Dudley are a bit more reserved and quirky, so they are searching for the perfect environment. Delilah would thrive in a home with another confident dog and potentially a fenced yard, as leash walks can be a bit challenging for her. Her mom is a Mountain Cur Mix, and Delilah is the largest of her litter, weighing about 45 lbs.

Ongoing Health

Delilah's foster family learned that she was not consistently eating and drinking, but this was resolved by changing the location of her bowls.

Training & Support

Delilah can be reserved and warms up to people when given patience and the opportunity to initiate interaction. She seems most comfortable with female humans. It has taken her some time to feel comfortable with being leashed, but she is doing great with housetraining. She enjoys wearing her jacket, as long as it's not put over her head.
