Sweet little Pepper is a 5-year-old Schnauzer with the biggest heart. She came to us from a high-intake shelter down South when they no longer had space for her. Pepper quickly went into foster with us, and her foster family had wonderful things to say about her: Pepper is an amazing little girl who is so sweet and cuddly. She is fully house-trained and hasn't had a single accident since she's been with us. She seems to have been an apartment dog in the past, as she can hold her bladder for a really long time. She's not too keen on the doggie door, but she might learn with some time and patience. She's precious and super smart, already knowing not to go into the kitchen while cooking or on the couch during meals, and she doesn't even beg! When she first arrived, she barked at the dog next door and people walking on the street, but she has been responding well to positive reinforcement to redirect her reactivity. She loves being told she's a good girl! Pepper can be a little hesitant when meeting new people at first, but she warms up quickly!
Ideal Home
Pepper would thrive in a home where she can continue to receive positive reinforcement.
