Uno

Uno and his brother were abandoned in the woods just before a late winter snowstorm. After weeks of surviving on their own, they finally built up the courage to approach us in early March. Since then, Uno has been showing just how loving and deserving he truly is. Uno is a sweet, gentle soul who’s just looking for a safe place to call home. He can be a little timid at first, but once he feels comfortable, he absolutely loves being petted and will happily settle in as your loyal couch buddy. He has a calm, easygoing personality and doesn’t jump up on people, which makes him especially nice to be around. Uno sometimes keeps to himself, likely because of his past, but he’s slowly learning that people can be kind—and he’s opening up more every day. Uno would make an incredibly loyal companion for someone willing to give him the love he’s been missing. Could you be the one to give Uno his second chance? Uno was born in March 2024.

Ideal Home

Uno would do best in a patient, loving home that will give him time to fully come out of his shell. A fenced yard and a calm environment would help him feel secure.

Ongoing Health

Uno's adoption fee of $200 includes spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age-appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming. TARA's pets are all eligible for a two-week trial.

Training & Support

Uno doesn't jump up on people, which makes him especially nice to be around. He sometimes keeps to himself, likely due to his past, but he’s slowly learning that people can be kind and is opening up more every day.
