Rufus

Rufus is a 2-year-old, neutered Yorkie/Lhasa Apso mix with the most soulful eyes that will melt your heart. He weighs about 15 lbs and is expected to reach a healthy weight of 18-20 lbs. Rufus is a true "Velcro dog" who loves to be by his human's side, whether that's on the couch, following you around, or snuggling in your lap. He's affectionate, gentle, and has a happy, easygoing nature that makes him a delight to be around. Rufus was unfortunately abandoned at an apartment complex and left to fend for himself, but despite his past, he remains incredibly sweet and trusting. He's ready to leave his difficult beginnings behind for a loving forever home.

Ideal Home

Rufus is looking for a true companion who wants a loyal sidekick, a couch buddy, and a walking partner. He deserves a family who will cherish him and never leave him behind again.

Ongoing Health

Rufus is currently a bit underweight and is expected to reach a healthy weight of 18-20 lbs. As a Yorkie/Lhasa Apso mix, he will likely require regular grooming to maintain his coat and prevent matting.

Training & Support

Rufus is crate trained and settles well. He is still working on house training, but this is expected to improve with a consistent routine and now that he is neutered. He occasionally exhibits gentle puppy-style play nibbles.
