Rikki

Rikki is a sweet, affectionate, and social gentleman who originally came to us from Chicago Animal Care and Control in 2022. He was adopted by a loving couple but sadly, due to a recent loss in the family, he and his companion, Peadar, were returned to our care. Rikki is about 7 years old and still thinks he's a big baby, even bringing his favorite gray blankie with him! He's a quintessential silver pittie with a soft, mushy center, and a truly resilient spirit. He's currently in a foster home where he's adapting wonderfully to the routine, even in an apartment setting.

Ideal Home

Rikki is an easygoing and adaptable companion. He has proven to be great with children around 6 years old and is friendly with all people, simply wanting pets and hugs. He's unfazed by activity or loud noises on walks, making him a good fit for various environments.

Ongoing Health

Rikki is neutered, up to date on core vaccines, and heartworm negative. He arrived in great health with immaculately kept vet records.

Training & Support

Rikki is completely house-trained and is fine being left to roam freely for 8-9 hours while his foster dad is at work. He takes commands well and is a gentle giant who just wants love and attention.
