Glade - Pending

My name is Glade, and I'm a 4-year-old pup who's looking for a patient and loving forever home. I'm currently being fostered in Kansas City, MO, and I'm ready to learn what it means to be a cherished pet. I likely spent most of my life in a kennel, so I'm a bit shy and need some help discovering how to play and trust humans. I'm a gentle soul who watches everything intently and listens well. I'm making great progress in learning to be a dog and accept love, and I'm a good boy who's never in trouble.

Ideal Home

I would do best in a quiet home where I can build my confidence. I'm most comfortable in my custom corral, which gives me space to roam and access to a water bowl. I need to be placed in my corral, and I'm content there, especially while my foster mom works from home. I'm a little overweight because I'm timid, but I'm working on it. I do well with baths and am good with other dogs, but I haven't been tested with cats. I am good with young children, but I am timid with strangers. I need a fenced-in yard if you own your home, but I can also be considered for apartments or communities without fences as long as leash laws are strictly enforced. Invisible fencing is not an option.

Ongoing Health

I am up to date on all my vaccinations, have been spayed, tested for heartworm, and microchipped. I have no diagnosed health issues.

Training & Support

I'm working on becoming fully housetrained, but I'm doing well with going potty outside on command when taken out about four times a day. I'm also working on leash training and getting comfortable with car rides. Thunderstorms can scare me, and I may bark during them.
