Marlena is a 3-year-old, spayed female dog weighing approximately 50 lbs. She's a bundle of energy and pure happiness, with soft, velvety black fur like a rabbit, perfect for snuggling! Marlena is a clever girl who knows her name and comes when called. She's a real sweetheart who loves to be close to her person and enjoys cuddling up like a lap dog. Her unique facial feature, a slight misalignment of her jaw due to a past injury or birth defect, gives her a distinctive and endearing smile. This charming trait doesn't affect her health and only adds to her lovable appearance. Marlena has been with rescue for several years and deserves a loving forever home.
Ideal Home
Marlena is dog-friendly, but her high energy might be a lot for some dogs. She gets along wonderfully with puppies and younger dogs. Due to a high prey drive, she is not a good fit for homes with cats.
Ongoing Health
Marlena is healthy and requires no special medical care. Her unique facial structure does not cause her any health issues. She is microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, and on Simparica Trio heartworm/flea/tick preventative. She will receive a vet exam, negative fecal test, and a health certificate for travel.
Training & Support
Marlena is a smart dog who responds to her name. We haven't noted any specific behavioral issues.

Transporation
Marlena is currently located with our rescue and we offer transport to many New England cities. If you are interested in adopting but are located out of state, we are happy to guide you through the process and can identify a transport stop location nearest to you. The adoption fee of $300 includes transport to many New England cities.
