Poppi

Poppi is a gentle, sensitive soul who’s slowly learning what it means to feel safe, loved, and at home again. This sweet husky girl has been through a lot, but with patience and kindness, she’s beginning to show glimpses of the happy, curious dog she’s meant to be. She’s food motivated and learning to trust, showing small steps of progress daily. Though she’s still reserved and often on alert, Poppi has started to relax and seek affection. She loves gentle face strokes, soft words, and cuddles—especially at bedtime, when she’ll snuggle close for love before moving to her own space. Each day, she grows a little braver, a little more trusting, and a little more herself. There’s a wonderful husky spirit inside Poppi, waiting to fully emerge. With time, patience, and love, she’ll blossom into the loyal, affectionate companion she’s meant to be.

Ideal Home

A calm, understanding home where she can be the only dog would be best, or with careful introductions to other dogs.

Ongoing Health

Poppi has been on medication for seizures, which are managed but occasionally recur.

Training & Support

Poppi is very well house trained and quietly goes outside when offered, though she doesn’t yet ask on her own. She’s still learning how to take treats from fingers. Around other dogs, Poppi can be guarded and tends to growl at larger ones.
