Rex is a joyful, playful, and energetic Cattle Dog mix who is approximately 3 years old and weighs about 35 lbs. He was rescued as a young puppy and has spent his life waiting for his forever family. Rex is sweet and enjoys being near his people, with a fun personality that's always ready for an adventure. He's great with other dogs, cats, and people, and is intelligent and eager to learn. Rex walks well on a leash, is crate trained, and would thrive in an active home that loves the outdoors. He enjoys running, hiking, and being part of everyday activities. Rex’s mom was a street rescue, and he's the last of his litter waiting for a home. He needs a family that can provide structure, patience, love, and the active lifestyle he craves after growing up in a shelter.
Ideal Home
An active family who enjoys daily walks or hiking, with a fenced backyard. Preference for families with experience in dog behavior and training, who are willing to give a rescued pet at least three months to show their best personality. Patience for rescued puppies is a must.
Ongoing Health
Rex has received extensive health protocols including: spay/neuter certificate, DHPPI vaccine, rabies vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, a 4DX test and certificate, negative heartworm test certificate, and monthly Nexgard Spectra (fleas, ticks, and heartworm) preventive protection. He also has a health certificate and vaccine booklet.
Training & Support
Rex is not house-trained. It is important to understand that due to the large number of rescued pets needing care, individualized house-training for each animal is not always possible.
