Meet Winona, a lovely 11⁄2-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier mix who weighs about 43 pounds. She has a heart of gold and a wonderfully calm demeanor. Winona recently joined her foster family and has quickly shown everyone what a sweet and gentle soul she is. She’s settling into home life beautifully, proving to be affectionate and incredibly good with children, even a toddler. Winona loves being close to her people and is content to relax nearby while the family goes about their day. Her peaceful presence, whether she's lounging on the couch or quietly observing her surroundings, makes her a joy to have around. She walks nicely on a leash, enjoys her explorations and sniffing adventures, and has adapted very well to her new environment. Winona is learning her routine and is doing wonderfully with potty breaks outside. She strikes a perfect balance between companionship and independence, not being overly demanding and happy to relax after a walk or just be near her humans. Like many young dogs, she enjoys toys and would be thrilled to find a family that can offer her love, structure, and a cozy place to call her own.
