Meet Wimby – your new best friend!

Wimby is a 4-year-old suspected Pyr/Lab mix who is 100% good boy. He is the perfect combination of well-behaved, calm, and playful. He is currently living with two younger children and does well with them. He seems to enjoy stealing their stuffed animals, getting chased through the house for a few minutes, and then laying down for a nap. That said, if he had the choice, he'd probably enjoy a more laid-back home, as he instantly bonded with his foster grandparents who come to walk him every day.

Ideal Home

Wimby loves laying outside, enjoying the sunshine and watching the world go by, so he would love a fenced yard in his forever home. He seems to do well with dogs of all sizes but would also be fine as an only dog. He is a bit intimidated by cats, so he'd probably do better in a home without any feline friends.

Ongoing Health

Wimby sheds a lot, and his foster mom has been putting him outside when she vacuums. On the plus side, he is a very good boy for the groomer, so regular appointments should help with the shedding.

Training & Support

Wimby enjoys spending time in his crate, as it seems to be a safe space for him, and has been crated while his foster family isn't home. He is house-trained and walks well on a leash and enjoys his daily walks through the neighborhood. He is absolutely terrified of the vacuum and doesn't like loud noises in general.
