About Comet Good Shepherd

At 4 months old, Comet is a handsome German Shepherd pup with a sleek black coat, tan paws, and a sweet little white spot on his chest and chin. He's the most reserved of his litter, taking his time to warm up to new people and environments. Comet prefers to quietly observe and take everything in first, but once he trusts you, his gentle and affectionate side shines through. He enjoys snuggling close and being near his person. Comet came from the Galveston shelter with his two siblings and has spent the last three weeks in a foster home learning what it means to feel safe, loved, and part of a routine.

Ideal Home

Comet will thrive in a home that offers patience, consistency, and a gentle approach. He is still learning how to respond to corrections but is making steady progress with the right guidance.

Ongoing Health

Comet is up to date on all age-appropriate vetting, including vaccinations, deworming, and flea/heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Comet is kennel trained, sleeps through the night, and has been doing great adjusting to home life. He is fairly quiet and only occasionally speaks up when excited about food or treats, something he's already learning to improve. He has a nice balance of play and rest, making him a calm and easy companion once settled. He lives with multiple other dogs and does well with them, and is comfortable around adults.
