Bonbon

Meet Bonbon, an adorable 2-year-old Poodle-Chihuahua mix who weighs about 13 pounds. He's a small dog with a big personality – active, loyal, and incredibly devoted to his people. Bonbon can be a bit shy when meeting new people, but once he feels secure, his loving and protective nature truly shines. He might bark at strangers initially, as he likes to let his humans know when someone new is around. Bonbon is very social and gets along well with cats, other dogs, children, men, and women. With a little initial patience, he quickly blossoms into a sweet and affectionate companion. His past is one of resilience; he was found wandering the streets, dirty and flea-covered. Despite his tough start, his loving spirit remained intact. Now safe and sound, Bonbon is ready for a family to give him the stability and love he deserves. He would absolutely thrive in a home that appreciates an active little dog with a heart full of loyalty. If you're seeking a devoted companion who'll always be thrilled to see you and stay close by your side, Bonbon might just be your perfect match. Ideal Home

Bonbon would thrive in a home that enjoys an active little dog with a loyal heart. He needs an active family that enjoys outdoor activities and has a fenced backyard. He also needs a family with an open mind about the needs of rescued street animals, understanding their potential behaviors related to protection and requiring education. Experience with dog behavior and training is preferred, as is high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies.

Ongoing Health

Bonbon has received a spay/neuter, DHPPI vaccine, Rabies vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, and has been dewormed. He has a negative heartworm test and received a health certificate. A vaccination booklet is also available.

Training & Support

Bonbon is NOT house-trained. The rescue organization works hard to rehabilitate the health and emotions of their rescued pets, but it is impossible to house-train every single dog due to the sheer number of animals in foster care. Potential adopters should be prepared to continue his training and provide him with patience and understanding.

• You will need to complete an online application.
• A phone/email interview will be scheduled.
• A home check (virtual or in-person) will be conducted.
• A virtual meet-and-greet with Bonbon and his foster family will be arranged.
• A trial adoption period will follow if all parties agree it's a good fit.

The adoption fee, finalized before transport, includes spay/neuter, complete vaccinations (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella), deworming, heartworm test, and health certificate. A transport fee of $400.00, paid by the adopter prior to departure, covers transport by a third-party company.

Transportation

Bonbon is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas, and is ready to travel to the East Coast and the Pacific Northwest if adopted.
