Indy

Meet Indy! This 10-month-old, 43-pound female Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier mix is an energetic and playful pup with a heart full of love to give. Indy was found as a stray, but thankfully, she's now safe and sound in a foster home, eagerly awaiting her forever family. She's a smart cookie who loves to learn and is motivated by treats and attention. Indy enjoys a good belly rub, cozy beds, and outdoor adventures like camping, hiking, and playing by the river. She's also a bug-catching enthusiast and knows how to find a shady spot to relax!

Ideal Home

Indy would thrive in an active home where she can get plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. While she's friendly with people of all ages and has been cat-tested, her high energy and love for rough play suggest she might do best with dog-savvy cats and older children.

Ongoing Health

Indy is up-to-date on vaccinations, has tested negative for heartworm, and has been spayed. She has a microchip.

Training & Support

Indy is making great strides in learning manners and boundaries and will continue to need consistent training. She is mostly house-trained and crate-trained, responding well to commands. She's good on a leash and can even "heel" like a pro! Indy can be vocal, so positive reinforcement training to help her learn when barking isn't necessary will be beneficial. She thrives on direction and could potentially enjoy a job to keep her mind and energy engaged.
