Meet Laura Cooper. Laura Cooper is from Illinois and breeds Basset Hounds. AKC proudly supports dedicated and responsible breeders. We encourage all prospective puppy owners to do their research and be prepared with questions to ask the breeder. Make sure you are not only choosing the right breed for you, but also that you’re getting it from the right individual. We are a family that loves our hounds! You do not just arrive at our house, you are announced! We often have at least one group howl a day where we get kids, adults, and all dogs involved. It's loud and lots of fun. Bailey and Woody are mom and dad to this litter and reside with us at all times. We live in the corn fields of Southern Illinois and our hounds love to go out and chase squirrels etc. Bailey has gotten a mole before.
