Nona is a spirited 1-year-old, 50 lb, spayed female Staffie mix who is just blossoming into her own! She's a delightfully sturdy little lady with a playful spark and a growing confidence. Watching her zoom around the yard, keeping up with her longer-legged foster siblings, is a joy. She might be low to the ground, but she's quick and always ready for adventure, greeting her foster mom with an enthusiastic leap after work. Nona is a sweet companion who loves to be near her people, her whole body wiggling with excitement. She's a social butterfly, enjoying strolls and meeting new friends, including a very positive experience with a small child. Nona has a charming stubborn streak and a clever mind, loving puzzles and navigating obstacles. She's highly motivated by toys and treats, making training a fun experience. She's already mastered "sit" and is working on her leash manners. Nona enjoys walks of a few miles and is happy to be by your side once she arrives at her destination, even if car rides aren't her favorite. She's fully crate trained and doing wonderfully with potty training, needing a family to reinforce her routine. Nona is a bit of a shy watchdog, but she'll let you know if something is amiss. Her adorable underbite adds to her unique charm!

Nona would thrive in a home with respectful, well-mannered children who understand how to interact with an older puppy. She would also do well with a confident canine companion who is respectful of personal space and happy to share the spotlight, or she'd be perfectly happy as the sole recipient of your attention.

Nona is working on her leash manners and would benefit from continued reinforcement of her potty training routine. She can get a little extra attached to a favorite toy, so a canine companion who is respectful of personal space is recommended.

Nona is currently being fostered in Austin, TX, but she can transport out of state when matched with an approved adopter. Transport is included in the adoption donation.
