A little about them
Meet Elvis, a majestic Siberian Husky with a big personality and a soft heart. He has been waiting at the shelter for about two years and is looking for a patient person who will give him time to build trust and form a deep bond.
Elvis enjoys long walks, exploring plants, and relaxing in the car after exercise. He settles quietly during rides, enjoys natural foods, and gently accepts treats. Once he chooses his person, he may show his affection by sitting on their shoes and keeping close by. He also cuddles with stuffed animals while sleeping.
Ideal Home
Elvis needs a confident, experienced adopter who can provide structure, consistent training, and thoughtful management. He is not recommended for first-time dog owners or anyone seeking an easy, low-maintenance companion.
- Home without cats
- Patient adopter who respects his process while he builds trust
- Prepared to manage leash reactivity, resource guarding, and other shelter-related behaviors
- He enjoys walking with other dogs, especially confident female dogs, and has greeted smaller dogs gently during parallel walks
Ongoing Health
Elvis has sensitive paws and may gently pull his feet away when touched, while remaining polite and patient. He cooperates with bathing after trust is established and tolerates an ear-cover head wrap.
Training & Support
Elvis is house trained. He is still learning doggy manners and may become eager or excited when greeting other dogs. After a long walk, he rides calmly in the car and lies down quietly.
