About Chip Cherry Berry Cute and Fluffy

Imagine the cutest little baby grizzly bear you've ever seen. Big fluffy paws. Soft fuzzy fur. That chunky little puppy body that makes you wonder if he's ever going to figure out where all four feet are supposed to go. Now make him incredibly sweet, give him the happiest little personality, and suddenly you've got Chip Cherry. He's fluffy, ridiculously adorable, and one of those puppies that makes you instinctively reach down to pick him up every single time he waddles by. He has this innocent little face that's impossible to say no to, but don't let it fool you. He's also got a fun side. He loves his toys, enjoys exploring whatever catches his attention, and has just enough playful confidence to keep life entertaining without ever being the wild child of the group. Chip is currently thriving in a foster home where he's beginning to explore the world through play, naps, mealtime routines, and gentle socialization. Right now life is wonderfully simple. Chase a toy. Wrestle with his siblings. Eat. Nap. Wake up and do it all over again. If we're being honest... he's pretty much living every puppy's dream.

This handsome little guy is Chip. He is approximately 1 month old and currently weighs around 10 lbs. We believe he may be a German Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix, but with rescue, it's always a mystery and we can never guarantee breed. So far, Chip has one of those personalities that's just easy to love. He's playful without being over-the-top, curious without getting himself into too much trouble, and confident enough to happily check out new things without needing to be the first one into absolutely everything. He has a wonderful balance to him already. He's perfectly happy bouncing around with a toy or playing with his siblings, but the second you sit down, he's more than willing to wander over and see if there's room for him too. One of our favorite things about Chip is that he doesn't have to be doing anything special to make you smile. He'll be happily carrying around a toy that's almost as big as he is, trotting across the yard with his fluffy little puppy legs, or looking up at you with that sweet face like he's waiting to see what adventure comes next. He's just one of those puppies that makes people happy simply by being himself. The puppy stage doesn't last very long, but it's easily one of the most rewarding adventures you'll ever experience. You get to watch them discover the world for the very first time. The first walk. The first road trip. The first camping trip. The first birthday. The first time they realize they can splash in water. Those are the moments you'll never forget, and Chip's future family gets to experience every single one of them right alongside him.

Ideal Home

Like every puppy, Chip will need a family that's ready to help him grow into the incredible dog he's meant to be.

Ongoing Health

Chip has received all vetting, which includes DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, and a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative. He has also had a heartworm test.

Training & Support

Continued socialization, routine, structure, training, and lots of positive experiences will all help build his confidence as he grows. We also require adopters to begin crate training as soon as their puppy arrives home. Crate training plays an important role in potty training, creating healthy routines, building independence, and raising a well-rounded adult dog.
