Meet Bear FKA Barry! This handsome, 4-year-old Siberian Husky/Shepherd mix is a true one-of-a-kind who is ready to leave his past behind and find a loving home. As a former owner surrender, Bear is looking for someone patient and understanding as he adjusts to his new surroundings. Despite his rough start, Bear still has an infectious smile that brightens up our shelter. With his solid brown and white coat, he's a head-turner who will surely attract attention on walks. At 57 pounds, Bear is the perfect size for cuddling or adventuring. Although he may seem full of energy at first, Bear will quickly learn to chill out and be the best companion. He's incredibly loyal and would make the perfect best friend for someone with breed experience. He may take some time to warm up to new people, so slow introductions are recommended.

Ideal Home

Bear prefers to be the only pet in the household. He is great with children and we highly recommend kids 14+ who are dog-savvy. Due to his size and energy, Bear would do best in a household where his younger human siblings can handle his energy and playfulness.
