Buttons is a sweet, pint-sized companion ready to fill your home with quiet devotion! This 1-year-old, 8-pound male Chihuahua is as cute as a button and has a gentle spirit. He's currently in Oklahoma but is ready to travel to his forever family. Buttons is a uniquely quiet and calm little guy who rarely barks. He can be a bit overwhelmed in loud, chaotic environments, but he truly blossoms when things are peaceful. He loves burrowing into soft blankets and playing with his toys.
Ideal Home
Buttons is looking for a quiet, low-key forever home where he can relax and let his true personality shine. A calm household would be his dream come true, as loud noises and high energy can make him nervous. He does well with other smaller dogs who share his gentle demeanor.
Ongoing Health
Buttons is fully vetted, neutered, and up-to-date on all essential vaccinations (Rabies, DHLPP, and Bordetella). He has been dewormed and is on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. He will be microchipped and receive a fecal exam and a certified Health Certificate within 10 days of his transport date.
Training & Support
Buttons is crate trained and settles down nicely in his crate at night. He also rides quietly and safely when crated in the car. He is still learning the ropes of housebreaking and will need a patient adopter willing to help him establish a good routine. He does go potty immediately when taken outside. Buttons may occasionally have "happy puddles" or "stage fright" sprinkles when he's nervous or excited, but his rescue team is hopeful this will decrease as he settles into a secure and predictable routine.

Transporation
Buttons is currently in Oklahoma. Transport is arranged to specific cities in the Pacific Northwest, Northeast, Midwest, and West/Mountain regions. Adopters must be available at the scheduled time and location.
