Sapphire

Sapphire is a 6-year-old, 55-pound girl with beautiful black and tan fur. She and her sister, Diamond, were surrendered when their owner lost their home. Sapphire is a friendly and playful companion who enjoys chasing tennis balls. She can be a little more timid than her sister but warms up quickly once she feels comfortable and trusts you. She's a smart cookie, too, and was very happy to earn treats for retrieving balls! Sapphire is a sweet girl who just needs a little extra time to feel secure by your side. She is house-trained and can be trusted to roam freely when left alone, though she may whine a bit to let you know she misses you. Like her sister, Sapphire will give a gentle growl if another dog gets too close to her food, which is her way of setting a polite boundary.

Sapphire would thrive in a home where she has a bit of extra time to build trust. She is friendly and playful, and enjoys interacting with other dogs and children.

Sapphire has been spayed and is up to date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

Sapphire is house-trained and can be trusted to be left alone. She is learning to communicate her needs by giving a warning growl when another dog approaches her food.
