Meet Sharla & Greta — a bonded pair of black lab/pit mixes who clearly missed the memo that “raised in the woods with zero human interaction” is supposed to make you feral little goblins.
Instead?
They came out sweet. Like… suspiciously sweet.
Let me paint you a picture:
These girls were born out in the woods. No couches. No toys. No humans. Just survival mode after their mom was killed. Real rough start, the kind that usually turns dogs into “absolutely not, don’t touch me” types.
But Sharla and Greta said, “Nah. We’re gonna trust people anyway.”
Bold move. Questionable judgment. We respect it.
They were the last two to be captured — which tells me they’re either the smartest… or the ones who said, “You go first, I’ll watch.” Either way, they stuck together. And now? They’re thriving in foster care like they’ve been domestic all along.
✨ About these two overachievers:
Around 1 year old
Spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative (they understood the assignment)
Extremely bonded (read: not splitting them up, don’t even try it)
Sweet, gentle, learning the whole “life indoors is amazing” thing
They look at each other like, “We survived that… we’re not doing this next part alone.”
And honestly? Same.
