Arlo is his name and his gentle eyes match his heart perfectly! Arlo is a handsome boy estimated to be around 1 year old and weighing 48 lbs. He may be a husky/shepherd mix, but he's a rescue, so we can't be certain of his breed or exact age. Arlo is a "slow bloom, big reward" kind of dog. He can be a little shy when meeting new people, preferring to observe from a distance, but this is when his adoring and devoted nature truly shines as he looks to his person for reassurance. With a little patience and a steady routine, Arlo blossoms into the sweetest, most devoted companion who just wants to be close to you. He's a smart, trainable boy who thrives on consistency and a calm environment.
Ideal Home
Arlo would thrive in a home with a yard where he can build confidence at his own pace. He does best with a canine companion, especially a smaller, friendly dog, or a calm, easygoing larger dog with a proper introduction. He has also done well with cats after slow and proper introductions. Walks in busy or unfamiliar places can be overwhelming for him currently, so a home willing to show him the world can be a safe and gentle place is ideal.
Ongoing Health
No specific ongoing health conditions are mentioned.
Training & Support
Arlo is house and crate trained and knows the rhythm of home life. He can be shy when meeting new people and may need time to warm up. Having a canine buddy helps him feel more at ease and gain confidence. He is described as a smart, trainable boy who needs time, consistency, and a gentle introduction to new experiences.
