Meet Hugo! This striking, solid black Labrador is 3 years old and weighs a lean 65 pounds. Hugo has an undeniable love for water, and if there's a puddle, pond, hose, or lake nearby, he'll find it in seconds! He's a highly active boy who thrives when he has a job to do or training to focus his considerable energy. Hugo was unfortunately abandoned at just one year old, labeled "too crazy" when he was simply a young pup full of life. Now more mature, he's searching for a family who can teach him the ropes of being a well-mannered house dog and provide the stability he missed in his early days. With patience, plenty of outlets for his energy, and lots of water adventures, Hugo will blossom into an incredible, loyal, and joyful companion, always ready for the next splash-filled escapade!

Ideal Home

Hugo needs an active home that can provide structure, enrichment, and consistency to help him shine. He particularly loves water, so access to it would be a huge bonus!

Hugo is a healthy, 3-year-old Labrador. All vetting is included in the transportation fee.

Training & Support

Hugo is eager to learn and needs a family willing to teach him how to be a well-mannered house dog. Providing him with outlets for his high energy and consistent training will help him succeed.

Transportation

Hugo is located in Angleton, Texas. He is available for adoption in VA, PA, CT, VT, NY, UT, ID, OR, TX, TN & KY, IL, IN, WA, & OH. Custom transports are available and include a fee ranging from $150-$500. For those picking up at our Angleton, Texas location, the fee is $75. This fee covers transport, vetting (DAPP, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, FVCRP vaccine, spay/neuter, flea prevention, heartworm testing and prevention, micro-chipping), a collar, and a lifetime of love!
