Buckle

Buckle and his brother were part of an unwanted litter of puppies born in a rural town. Thankfully, their mother's owner surrendered them to a shelter we help when they were very young. One of our amazing fosters stepped in and brought them into her home, and Buckle has been with us ever since, completing his veterinary care and getting ready to find his forever person.

Buckle is a wonderfully mellow pup. While he enjoys playtime, he's not overly energetic. He's well on his way to being house-trained and is diligently learning to go potty outside. He's also crate-trained and leash-trained, making him a joy to have around. Buckle gets along great with other dogs and has been introduced to children as young as 6. At 6 months old and weighing 30 pounds, we believe he's a Hound mix. His mother weighs 35 pounds, so we anticipate Buckle will grow into a medium-sized adult dog.

Buckle has been neutered, vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella. He's also microchipped, heartworm negative, and currently on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

Ideal Home

Buckle would thrive in a home that appreciates his gentle nature. He enjoys the company of other dogs and has a history of positive interactions with children 6 and older.

Ongoing Health

Buckle is up-to-date on all his veterinary care, including vaccinations and preventative treatments. He is microchipped and heartworm negative.

Training & Support

Buckle is crate-trained and leash-trained. He's also making great progress with house-training and is learning to communicate his needs for potty breaks outside.
