Meet Rye, a delightful two-year-old Lab mix who's as sweet as pie and full of sunshine! Weighing in at 56 lbs, Rye is a goofy, affectionate boy with a smile that could brighten anyone's day. He loves to snuggle and will greet you with enthusiasm, sometimes a playful jump, but he's a quick learner and sits for praise. Rye is incredibly social, polite with other dogs (especially calm females), and showed great respect when meeting new dogs on leash. He's even been polite with the resident cat, making him a potentially great addition to a household with feline friends. Rye absolutely adores children and is gentle and affectionate, though he may need some guidance to manage his excitement around smaller kids. He's a lover boy, a goofball, and your future adventure buddy all rolled into one!

Ideal Home

Rye would thrive in a home that enjoys playtime and offers some structure. He could do well in an apartment with plenty of exercise and enrichment, but a house with a yard would be his dream come true.

Ongoing Health

Rye is up to date on all vetting, which includes vaccinations, deworming, flea/heartworm prevention, and has been spayed/neutered.

Training & Support

Rye can be a bit jumpy when excited and needs some polishing on his leash skills, as he can be a bit "all over the place" on walks. However, he listens well to corrections and loves treats, making him a great candidate for training success.

Rye is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide via our rescue-run USDA-certified transport system. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. A $87 surcharge applies for transportation.
