Vega

Hi there, I'm Vega, a 6-year-old, 70-pound, brindle and white Boxer. I'm looking for a forever home with someone who can keep up with me and love me unconditionally.

I'm an extremely loving, smart, and adventurous boy who enjoys playing, running, and exploring. I'm also very smart and eager to please, especially if you have some treats for me. I'm neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative, so I'm ready to go whenever you are. I have a ton of drive, which makes me super fun to work with, and I'd be amazing at dog sports of any kind because of how much I like to work.

Ideal Home

I need a firm owner who will work me and take me on adventures, because I am no couch potato. I am dog-selective and need slow intros to other dogs. I should not be around cats or other small animals because of my high prey drive. I do well with kids, but best with older kids because of my size and energy.

Ongoing Health

I am neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative.

Training & Support

I can be crate reactive and have some barrier frustration, but I’ve been learning to improve my behavior and am doing so much better. I also need more work on leash training, as I pull hard. Devices like gentle leaders may help me learn how to walk better on leash.

Transporation

I am being fostered in Hampton Roads, VA, but I can be transported out of state if you're the one for me.
