Sandy is the canine equivalent of a deep, calming breath after a long, hard day. She's gentle, thoughtful, and possesses a peaceful presence that can make any house feel softer. Sandy appreciates a quieter lifestyle and settles in beautifully when given the space to take things at her own pace. Once she feels safe, her presence is incredibly grounding. She’s not demanding; she simply is, and that’s a gift.
Her approach to love is slow and steady. Sandy takes her time getting to know new people and prefers not to be rushed into affection. She's not reactive or pushy, simply needing a little space initially to observe and understand her surroundings. But when she chooses you, it's a deeply loyal and heartwarming connection. She may not be in your lap on day one, but she'll become your comforting shadow once she trusts you.
With other dogs, Sandy is polite and respectful. She doesn't actively seek out play but coexists nicely, allowing space for others. A calm canine companion could be a nice influence, but it's not a requirement, as she's just as content focusing on her person. Feline friends are also welcome; Sandy has been respectfully avoidant with cats, and her non-threatening energy seems to put them at ease. Walks are a great way to build a relationship with Sandy. She enjoys getting out, and that shared rhythm helps her connect and feel secure.
