Opal

Opal is a sweet, 1-year-old Pug mix with a gentle personality who absolutely LOVES belly rubs and scritches. She is a soft, extremely affectionate girl who enjoys being near her person. She would do best in a calm, reassuring environment where she can take things at her own pace until she feels confident to open up. Once she feels safe, she loves to play and cuddle. Opal is crate trained, does well in a car, and is great with other dogs her size and smaller, though her behavior around large dogs or cats is unknown. She's progressing quickly in learning how to sit and control her impulses, as she can be quite pushy and jealous for those belly rubs! She will be your loyal right-hand girl, your shadow, and your best friend!

Training & Support

Although mostly potty-trained, Opal still has some accidents in the home. She will use pee pads, and once she learns her new routine and settles in, she is much better at controlling herself. She will need a patient, understanding owner as she continues to learn. She is working on controlling her impulses as she can be quite pushy and jealous for belly rubs.
