Buddy 3848 is a very happy boy who wants the world to know it! We think he's about 5 years old and he loves to loudly say hello. He lived with another dog in his previous home, and while we don't have many details about their interactions, Buddy has met and played with other dogs here at MASH. He even gave a little bark to a dog that was a bit rude, so he might be a little selective. Because of this, we don't recommend dog parks for Buddy. However, we do think he could live with another dog, but we'll need to do an introduction first! Buddy is also very cuddly and attention-seeking, and he absolutely loves butt scratches.
Ideal Home
Buddy can be a little reactive to new people he meets, sometimes rushing towards them with a loud bark. He does warm up after some time, and he might be a little people-selective. For this reason, we will need every member of your household to come to the adoption appointment to ensure he's a good fit. He may do better with older, calm children and in a home that doesn’t have a lot of new people coming and going. When visitors do come, we recommend having Buddy meet them outside first. He loves treats and has warmed up to people who offer them.
Ongoing Health
No specific health concerns were mentioned.
Training & Support
Buddy walks well on a leash and knows several obedience commands: sit, down, and shake. He may do better with older calm children. When people do visit, we recommend having Buddy meet them outside first. He loves treats and has warmed up to people who feed him.
