Sophia

Sophia is a 5-year-old, 80-pound spayed female Lab mix with a gentle soul and a sweet, easygoing personality. She was returned to us because she wasn't getting along with the other dogs in her previous home. In that home, Sophia was good with cats and even calm around pigeons, often observing the world with quiet curiosity. With people, she tends to be very submissive and respectful, quickly showing her kind and gentle temperament once she feels safe. Sophia is dog selective, so she may do best with slow, careful introductions or as the only dog in the home depending on the situation. What she truly shines in is her connection with people—she loves to play, engage, and be part of your day. She enjoys simple comforts too, like watching the world go by from a window, and she appears to be house trained. On walks, she does wonderfully on leash and is easy to handle, making outings enjoyable and relaxed. Sophia received her vaccines and was microchipped on April 10, 2026.

Ideal Home

Sophia would do best in a home where she can be the only dog, or with very slow and careful introductions to any resident dogs. She has shown she is good with cats and pigeons. She has no known exposure to children.

Sophia is up-to-date on her vaccines as of April 10, 2026, and is microchipped.

Training & Support

Sophia can be a bit stubborn on leash, so continued leash training will be beneficial. She is not a big chewer and appears to be housebroken. She hasn't shown much interest in toys.
