Hello there! My name is Messi, and I'm a 3-year-old, 75-80 lb. boy with a heart full of love and a desire to learn! I'm a sweet, enthusiastic guy who's working hard on my manners and is looking for a dedicated handler to continue my journey. I've settled in well in my foster home, and I absolutely adore receiving attention and snuggling up with my people. While I'll initially let you know when new visitors arrive, I'm quick to warm up once I know it's okay. I'm friendly with other dogs after proper introductions and haven't met any cats, so their reaction to me is a mystery! Toys aren't really my thing, and fetch is a skill I'd love to learn if you're willing to teach me. My foster dad is helping me with my leash skills, as I tend to pull a bit, but I'm very food motivated, which makes training a breeze!

Ideal Home

I'm looking for a home with someone experienced with the German Shepherd breed, who understands positive reinforcement training. I thrive with a patient, aware, consistent, and kind handler.

Ongoing Health

I am neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on all vaccinations.

Training & Support

I am house-trained and making great progress with crate training. I need to be crated when I can't be supervised to ensure I continue learning good manners. My foster dad is helping me with commands and leash walking.
