Marcel Gambino Bellissimo has the kind of personality that makes everyone feel like they've known him forever. He's the dog version of your favorite fun uncle, always ready to join whatever's happening, always happy to see you, and somehow able to make an ordinary afternoon feel just a perfectly more entertaining. With his oversized bat ears, cream-colored coat, and permanently cheerful outlook, Marcel has mastered the art of bringing smiles and laughs without a request needed. Estimated to be around 2 years old, Marcel weighs approximately 25 pounds and appears to be a French Bulldog, though as with all rescue dogs, his breed and age are simply our best educated guess. We cannot know what life was for Marcel before rescue- his little body carries a few reminders that he has a story behind him, but his spirit never got the memo. Whatever came before has done absolutely nothing to dim his enthusiasm for people, dogs, or life itself. He greets new friends with an open heart, happily collects kisses whenever the opportunity presents itself, and seems genuinely convinced that everyone deserves a warm Marcel-hello!

Ideal Home

Marcel is wonderfully social with other dogs and has an easygoing personality that makes him an enjoyable companion wherever he goes. Doggie friends of all ages and sizes are welcome but the people-focused personality and quiet confidence of an independent French gentleman that would be perfectly happy with just his people. Whether you're heading out for a car ride, relaxing at home, or sharing a quiet evening on the couch, he's simply happy to be by your side. He's playful and social without being overwhelming, affectionate without being demanding, and carries himself with that charming mix of youthful fun and calm confidence that makes him feel wise beyond his years.

Treats? Marcel loves treats but would never let that take away from having impeccable manners around treats. From sharing to taking them gently, Marcel is a classy gentleman around even the most delicious of treats. Non-negotiables for Marcel? Well... booty scratches are considered essential. • The adoption fee is $1200 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!

Transportation

We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system, ensuring every pet travels safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Our transport includes drop off locations, in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for for Canadian adopters). You will have the opportunity to track their journey in real time, see photo updates, learn fun facts, connect with fellow adopters and fosters through our private Facebook event page! Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
