Smokey

Smokey is a 2-year-old, 60-pound male Cane Corso / Weimaraner mix who arrived at our rescue as a stray. He is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered. Smokey is a smart, kind-hearted, and affectionate boy who is eager to find his forever family! He enjoys playing with other dogs and cuddling on the couch. Smokey is very submissive with other dogs and loves a good game of chase. He is a total couch potato who is happy to relax with you all day and would make the perfect companion for someone looking for a laid-back, easygoing dog.

Ideal Home

Smokey would prefer a home without cats. He would thrive in a low-traffic home due to his shyness with new people and would love a home with a doggie companion as he loves playing with other dogs. He does well if left to free roam.

Smokey is neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated.

Training & Support

Smokey is fully potty trained. He walks great on a leash and is easily redirected if he gets nervous around strangers or pulls slightly out of excitement. He does have some separation anxiety and will cry for a bit when you leave, though he doesn't tear things up and eventually stops crying. He prefers not to be shut in a crate, though he will go in to rest. Smokey would do best with someone who works from home or is only away for a few hours a day. He is a quick learner and very gentle.
