Asuna is a wonderfully snuggly girl who loves squeaky toys and cuddles. She has a great balance of energy for playtime and the ability to relax and chill. She was adopted as a young puppy with her littermate Hermione, but unfortunately, her adopter developed medical issues and could no longer care for them. Asuna is very affectionate with people she knows and is comfortable with calm, older children, though she can become anxious in chaotic environments. She absolutely adores babies and small children! While she is shy with strangers, she will warm up to gentle and patient individuals. Asuna is very attached to Hermione, but it's recommended they be adopted separately. She gets along well with most dogs in her foster home but can be reactive towards dogs who are grumpy, playfully antagonistic, or pushy. A home with another calm, friendly dog who doesn't mind sharing attention would be ideal. Asuna is also cat-friendly!
Ideal Home
Asuna would do best in a home with a family that has experience with dogs. She needs a secure backyard, as she may try to push through weak spots in fences or dig if left alone and worried. She thrives with human or canine company and copes well with separation when needed, but her ideal home will provide her with a constant companion.
Ongoing Health
Asuna is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and has been treated for parasites. She is healthy and feeling good about life.
Training & Support
Asuna needs ongoing support to build her confidence, especially around strangers and in unfamiliar places. She loves walks and car rides, making her a great companion for casual adventures. She is a strong chewer and enjoys her downtime with a good chew toy. She has bursts of energy and loves to play fetch and tag. Asuna is house-trained, crate-trained, and a quick learner who aims to please. She has basic obedience commands, walks well on a leash, and has a fairly good recall. Continued training, especially with treats and praise, will help her build confidence.

Asuna is currently located in the Tri-Cities, WA area. We are happy to work with approved adopters throughout the Pacific Northwest to arrange adoption and transport as needed.
